If you already know the office furniture just needs to go, this page explains what we remove, how we price it, and how booking works.
This service is for small, contained office furniture jobs — not full strip-outs, not demolition, and not multi-day projects.
What Office Furniture We Remove
We remove common office furniture that has turned into rubbish or junk, including: ● Desks ● Chairs ● Shelving units ● Cupboards ● Filing cabinets ● Whiteboards
If it’s free-standing and can be carried out by hand, it usually fits this service.
Common Office Furniture Removal Situations
This service is used for a range of small office furniture jobs around Christchurch, including: ● Offices that are upstairs or have stairs ● Ground-floor offices with tight access or limited parking ● Small offices being cleared after a move or closure ● End-of-lease hand-backs where furniture must be removed ● Shared buildings where skips aren’t practical ● Jobs that are too awkward to deal with yourself, even if the volume isn’t large
If the furniture can be removed safely by hand and quoted from photos, it usually fits.
Here’s how pricing works: ● You send clear photos of the office furniture ● Show the amount, the access, and where it’s coming from ● We price the job from the photos ● You get a fixed quote before anything is booked
No measuring. No guessing. No “we’ll see on the day”.
If the photos don’t show enough, we’ll tell you what’s missing.
Real-World Pricing Example Why Access Matters
Two jobs can look the same and price very differently.
● Job A: Four desks and six chairs Ground floor Parked right outside ● Job B: Four desks and six chairs Level-2 office Narrow stairs Parking 30 metres away
The furniture is identical. The difference is time, handling, and access.
That’s why we quote from photos — volume alone doesn’t tell the full story. Once we can see the access, we can price it properly and lock it in before you book.
Why We Use Photo Quotes
Office furniture jobs are usually small but awkward.
Photo quotes work because: ● the furniture is predictable ● access matters more than exact measurements ● problems are visible straight away
It keeps things simple and avoids back-and-forth.
What This Service Covers (and Where It Stops)
This service is for loose office furniture that can be picked up and carried out.
Desks, chairs, shelves, cupboards — the sort of stuff that becomes rubbish or junk once the office is finished with it.
It’s not for pulling buildings apart or doing trade work.
We don’t remove things like: ● fixed partitions or walls ● built-in joinery attached to the building ● server racks or hard-wired equipment ● ceiling grid or anything that needs tools to dismantle the space
If the furniture is free-standing and can be taken out without touching the building, it usually fits.
If you’re unsure, photos clear it up quickly — we’ll tell you before you book if something sits outside this service.
How Booking Works
There’s no site visit and no phone quoting
It works like this: 1. Send photos You send a few clear photos showing the office furniture and the access. 2. We send a quote We price the job from the photos and send you the cost. 3. You get a booking link If the quote works for you, we send a booking link with your photos and job details already attached. 4. Checkout online You go through checkout like you’re buying shoes online — and that’s it. 5. We turn up and remove it We remove the furniture from where it sits.
Disposal & Council Rules
Office furniture is disposed of properly as commercial waste.
Christchurch City Council sets rules around landfill use and disposal, and we follow those rules as part of the service.
When This Is the Right Option
If you want the office furniture gone without: ● organising a skip ● doing the lifting yourself ● running dump load
